We believe that we are all related. That we're moms to your children and you're a mom to ours. That our choices affect you and yours. So, we look to see how we can make a difference in this world. Because this is the only world we will be handing over to our kids. Here are some of the projects we're involved in right now. We hope this inspires you to join these efforts, start your own or join something that's close to your home or close to your heart.

Letter to Mr. Harper by Leslie Charlton, Owner: The owner of Groovy Mama, Leslie Charlton, wrote and presented an open letter to Mr. Harper to comment on cuts to arts funding in Canada. Groovy Mama depends on approximately 30-40 artists and craftspeople to supply Groovy Mama with unique products and to promote the store.

School closures: There's a movement afoot to close small community schools in Regina and to bus children to other schools. Busing children out of their neighbourhood disconnects them from their own community. Our research also shows that children who get bused out of their neighbourhood for school end up with lower grades, lower reading levels and less of a connection to their community. Cloth Diapering: It takes 500 years for disposable diapers to decompose in a landfill. That's way too long for our liking. We love the earth too much to do that to it. Along with Tush Cloth Diapers and Jack and Jill Diaper Service, we offer free workshops on how to cloth diaper. We don't care if you buy them from us or others.
